The Elk Prairie - Old-growth Forests
I painted this mural for a redwood park in northern California, but it could just as easily been sited in Olympic National Park or any number of other places in Oregon and Washington. These little natural prairies are a vanishing view as they were the first places to be farmed - no giant trees to clear away. It's a rare place with some rare critters.
