I wanted to show the amazing diversity of life here in the Pacific Northwest . It's a complex world in our inland sea; with colorful stars the size of bushel baskets, animals that look like flowers and red worms that live in tubes. That's Mount Baker in the background, one of the great Cascade volcanoes, looming over all.
