The chipmunk made it's way across the branch, gingerly moving over the lichen in its path. This little guy wasn't at all at ease with this running about in trees, but it was making it. Unlike squirrels like the chickaree or Douglas squirrel, chipmunks are much more happy on the ground. The good thing about this little episode was that I was able to really study the movements of this little guy, and so maybe make a good painting of it.
